Sifu Daniel Schoenbrod put on a fantastic seminar this past weekend! All who participated learned a ton of new material, regardless of their level of experience. That is the true sign of a great instructor; when they can teach to all levels. Click here to see a few photos from the seminar. We all look forward to the next opportunity to train with Sifu Daniel. Thank you again!
(Repost from last year. Just getting it off the home page.)
Sifu Cory completed the process of testing for his 3rd Degree Black Belt under the instruction of Master David Neal Brown (seen to the left having way too much fun during the padwork section test). Black Belt candidates are required to complete a grueling three part testing cycle consisting of a sparring test (20, two-minute rounds), a padwork test (20, two-minute rounds) and a conditioning test (45 different exercises, two mile run, and two sets of line sprints). In addition to the physical requirements, candidates must perform 5 hours of community service and have two letters of reference. Ten other Black Belt Candidates received their new belts as well, including six new Black Belts. Click here to read what it takes to test, and means to earn a Black Belt. Congratulations Sifu and to all the Black Belt recipients! We are coming up to the end of the Winter Quarter at Seattle Close Range Tactics. It's been a great few months... Lots of new faces, great improvement from all and terrific instruction from Si Hings RJ and Charles!
The goal for Spring Quarter remains the same as always; make it the best we've had! Looking forward to another great qutraining with you We recently had the pleasure of hosting Kru Kathy Holmes from Total Confidence Martial Arts for an adrenal seminar. Want to give a belated yet much deserved "Thank You" to her for coming to Seattle. Her experience, insight and instruction was invaluable!
Thank you again Ma'am. Look forward to seeing you soon! |
